Representatives from the Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC) Department of Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt held an on-site pediatric mock code training for Lincoln Medical Center’s Emergency Department and Emergency Medical Service.
“We presented several pediatric mock codes, including trauma and medical emergencies to member of the Lincoln Medical staff that day” states Eric Clauss, CRPC Coordinator. “Both EMS and hospital staff have a great deal of knowledge about pediatrics and they were truly a pleasure with which to work. The professionalism of each staff member stood out and was deeply appreciated.”
"We are so proud of our staff and the excellent job they do every day", stated Vicky Groce, Chief Nursing Officer. "We are fortunate to have such a qualified, competent, and caring staff here at Lincoln Medical Center."
Clauss noted their gratitude to Dr. Powell, LMC Emergency Department Physician, for his participation and to Debbie Yorba, Emergency Department Director; and Richard Wright, EMS Director, for their help in making this educational training event happen.
“We look forward to continuing to build the relationship between (Lincoln Medical Center and Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt) in the future” Clauss continued. “We are pleased to partner with Lincoln Medical Center to provide the best care possible for pediatric patients in our community.”
