| Lincoln County Piecemakers Celebrate Quilt Day By Giving |
| | | |
 | The Lincoln County Piecemakers proved that giving hearts are all around us. The group celebrated National Quilt Day (March 15) by donated a handmade quilt for the first baby and the baby’s parents born in Lincoln County on or after that date.
Baby girl, Armani Unique Ewing, daughter of Amber Farmer and Darrell Davis Ewing was the lucky baby. Armani was born on March 17, 2008 at 12:21 a.m. at Lincoln Medical Center. Dr. Theresa T. Morrison was the delivering physician. Not only did baby Armani receive a quilt stitched with love, but her parents also received one for them. Each quilt was embroidered with the baby’s name and birthdate.
Each member of the Piecemakers completed a quilt square that was then stitched together to form these works of art.
The purpose of the Lincoln County Piecemakers Guild is to promote an appreciation of the art, craftsmanship and fine needle work involved in quilt designing and making. The guild sponsors and supports quilting activites and participates in community projects.
