| | More than 40 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep disorders. The majority of these problems remain unidentified and undiagnosed.
The Sleep Lab is designed to evaluate the patient’s sleep in a monitored bedroom overnight for diagnosis of sleep disorders. A certified sleep technologist attaches various sensors that monitor brain wave activity, respiration, heart rhythm, oxygen level, and leg movements. The test is interpreted by a physician who is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine.
A sleep study, just as all medical procedures performed in a hospital, must be prescribed by a physician. A short office visit will allow your physician to evaluate the need for the overnight exam.
