Lincoln Medical Center
Sleep Disorders Center
Accredited by American Association of Sleep Medicine
More than 40 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep disorders. The majority of these problems remain unidentified and undiagnosed.
The Sleep Disorders Center is designed to evaluate and treat the patient’s sleep in a monitored bedroom overnight for diagnosis of sleep disorders. A registered sleep technologist attaches various sensors that monitor brain wave activity, respiration, heart rhythm, oxygen level, and leg movements. The test is interpreted by a physician who is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine.
A sleep study, just as all medical procedures performed in a hospital, must be prescribed by a physician. A short office visit will allow your physician to evaluate the need for the overnight exam.
