Changes in the Emergency Department at Lincoln Medial Center, under the direction of Dr. Yashwant P. Patel, MD continue to occur in an effort to meet the needs of community members. Because visits to the Emergency room continue to increase, staffing needs have been adjusted to better serve those in need. Renovations have been made with completion expected around the end of December 2008. The triage area will be moved and the triage nurse will be located in a new area where patients can be assessed promptly and monitored while in the waiting area.
 
The newest addition to the department is Kevin Krenek, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kevin will assist the physician in treating patients in a timely and efficient manner during the busiest hours. His hours will be Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 12 noon till midnight; these times have been identified as the busiest hours in the Emergency Department.
 
Kevin completed his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University in College Station Texas and his gradate education at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. He previously worked at the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center in Nashville where he provided primary health care for pediatric, adult, women's health, and mental health. His hobbies include physical fitness, music, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He served as the music director for his church in Nashville.
