Lincoln Medical Center is committed to excellence in patient care.  On going staff development is a priority at the facility and when there is an opportunity, the staff members are encouraged to attend seminars and in-services in their specific fields of practice.  Jessica Bates, RN and Bryan Whisenhunt, CST are employees in the Operating Room/Same Day Surgery at the hospital.  Together they attended a two day seminar in Nashville to get hands on experience in fracture management.  The work shop allowed the participants to do actual hands on in placements of plates and screws that align and reduce various fractures. The mechanics of fractures and the principles behind the reduction and fixation were coupled with the learning experience. 

These employees came away with a knowledge of what the physicians experience when managing fractures.  With that opportunity, they can offer skilled knowledge when attending to the patients that are entrusting us with their care.
