February is Heart Healthy Month, and Lincoln County Health Facilities is proud to announce "Heart Healthy Screenings". The screenings are for all ages. We will offer these screenings on two different days and at two different locations, to make it as accessible as possible for everyone. Feb 26th from 8-12 at Lincoln Medical Center in the Education Room  and Feb. 27th from 8-12 at Patrick Rehab and Wellness Center. Both days from 8-10 the following screenings will be held: Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (Gluc, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, CO2, Bun, Crea, AST, ALT, Total Bil, Calcium, Total Protein, Albumin) Lipid Profile (Cholesterol, Triglyceride, HDL & LDL), Thyroid (T4, T3), and Complete Blood Count. All of these will be done for a charge of $35 and no insurances will be filed. The client will be provided results by mail within 2 days of the event, unless the laboratory feels it to be a critical result and they will notify you verbally and instruct you to contact your physician. Clients should fast for 10-12 hours prior to arrival, but do not hold medications.

At no charge, Lincoln County Health Facilities will be offering both days Blood Pressure Checks, Body Mass Index, Cook Better! Live Better!, Risk Factors for Heart Attacks, and Acute Coronary Syndrome Information. The informational materials can be taken home and reviewed.
