Structured Outpatient Program
The Structured Outpatient Program offers confidential, comprehensive psychiatric treatment for patients with depression, anxiety, confusion, forgetfulness or other related problems. The program is designed to meet the needs of patients requiring intense psychiatric support but who do not need the acute treatment of an inpatient facility. Our staff works with patients and their families to provide individually tailored mental health services, including individual, family and group therapies.
Our program has a staff of specialized professionals including a psychiatrist, licensed clinical social workers, and other healthcare professionals. We work with our patients to facilitate maximum functioning. Our services focus on enhancing the patient’s skills and resources to foster independence, self confidence and self-reliance. Our staff works to help define problems and develop a plan of care to restore emotional health and well-being.
Admission
A psychiatrist, and licensed therapist assess all patients as part of the admission process. Referrals may be made by physicians, nurses, family members, clergy, social workers, discharge planners or others concerned about the welfare of a given individual. Individuals may also refer themselves for services.
The Memory Assessment Center
As part of Behavioral Health Services, our Memory Assessment Center provides cutting-edge diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning to individuals exhibiting changes in memory. The comprehensive assessment includes a medical and psychiatric evaluation, psychosocial evaluation and a battery of laboratory tests. A licensed physician specializing in geriatric psychiatry leads our assessment team. After a diagnosis is determined, if treatment is indicated, the appropriate referrals will be made.
Transportation
At Behavioral Health Services, we realize that accessing healthcare for your loved one can often be challenging. To alleviate some of that burden, we offer free transportation for residents of Lincoln County and surrounding areas.
