Adult Day Care Opening!
On January 5, 2009, Lincoln Care Center will officially open an Adult Day Care. This new program will allow caregivers to work, run errands, check on other family members and friends, or whatever they need to do while their loved one is being taken care of in a safe environment. All participants will have to go through an admittance program prior to acceptance in to the Adult Day Care. Currently, we can accomodate up to nine individuals with each having their own bed. The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. There is a minimum of a three hour stay and the cost is $10 per hour. We will be accepting any insurances that will reimburse for this type of service. If insurance is not available, other arrangements must be made regarding payment. A participant can visit the facility a maximum of 40 hours per week, provided they are 18 years of age or older. A Registered Nurse as well as an Activities Director will oversee the program. A hot lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided as well as many activities for each individual. Any medications will need to be brought from home. Transportation will be available for a fee. This is an excellent way for caregivers to have some peace of mind while still providing social and physical interaction for their loved ones.
