The Lincoln County Health System is a multi-faceted health care system whose mission is to provide life-long health care for the people of Lincoln County and the surrounding counties. In addition to a 49-bed, full-service, JCAHO-accredited hospital with a freestanding rehabilitation and wellness center (Patrick Rehab/Wellness) are two nursing homes totaling 270 ICF and SNF beds (Lincoln Care Center and Skilled Care Center and Donalson Care Center and Assisted Living Center), a home health and hospice agency (Hospital Home Health and Hospice), and an ambulance/EMS service (Lincoln Medical EMS). The facilities are county-owned, not-for-profit, and are governed by the Lincoln County Health System Committee.

Because of its proximity to Huntsville, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee, our community has enjoyed a favorable employment and economic condition, with the largest employers being Goodman and Frito-Lay. The community benefits from the growth and development that is occurring in this portion of the state. Over the last few years, several employers have located their businesses in Fayetteville. The economy is well diversified, and not dependent on agriculture alone. |
